Classes 

LEARNING – Classes meet weekly and are ongoing for repetition and practice.

LOCATION: My private studio in the Springs Subdivision: 260 Spring Run Circle, Longwood, FL 32779  BEGINNING AUGUST 26, 2016 THRU MAY 26, 2017.

PLEASE NOTE: WE NEED A MINIMUM OF 5 STUDENTS TO MAKE THE CLASS AND COMMITMENT IS FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR.

1. Mini Monets After-school Art – 1st-3rd grade

MONDAYS 4:30pm-5:30pm Children’s after-school art explores an introduction to various master artists and media including mainly drawing and painting on canvas, pottery-making, plus occasional adventures in watercolors, oil pastels and more!  Join us as we dive into these exciting media and master artists from the past and watch your child expand his/her creative horizons. $60 (plus tax) per month for weekly classes throughout the school year.  Includes canvases, paints and specialty papers, clay, glazes, firings, tools and all supplies. 2. Visual Art for Rising Artists – 4th-8th grade

FRIDAYS 4:00pm-5:30pm Older elementary and middle school students build their skills and learn more about the elements or art and principles of design in an engaging and fun way through various media rotated during the weeks including drawing, painting in oils and acrylics on canvas, watercolor, plus pottery-making/sculpture techniques!  Syllabus will be provided on the first day of class but will remain flexible. $75 per month for weekly classes throughout the school year, includes all supplies and firing fees for pottery. 3. Drawing for Middle & High Schoolers – Grades 6th-12th grade

THURSDAYS 5:00-6:30pm High school students will practice drawing skills using various media and methods including sighting, grids, useful techniques in linear perspective, atmospheric perspective, contour drawing, line, value, shape, and gesture drawing, drawing of people, portraits, faces, hands, bodies in motion, animals, cartoon/animae, book illustration, plus more.  We will draw in charcoal, pastels, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, pen and ink, marker, etc. This is a great way to practice drawing skills and students will build a portfolio of drawings. Does your student have a desire to illustrate their own book?  Laura can assist them on how to develop their own style as they try various media!  For each class, after a demo, students will work individually on their own projects plus work on guided mastery from life.  Syllabus will be provided but will remain flexible. $65 per month for weekly classes throughout the school year, includes supplies except colored pencils and a sketchbook which student will be encouraged to work with at home as well.
