“Let’s Draw!” a drawing class for Middle & High Schoolers – Grades 6th-12th grade

Thursdays 5:00-6:30pm Middle and High School students will practice drawing skills using various media and methods including sighting, grids, useful techniques in linear perspective, atmospheric perspective, contour drawing, line, value, shape, and gesture drawing, drawing of people, portraits, faces, hands, bodies in motion, animals, cartoon/animae, book illustration, plus more.  We will draw in charcoal, pastels, colored pencils, watercolor pencils, pen and ink, marker, etc. This is a great way to practice drawing skills and students will build a portfolio of drawings. Does your student have a desire to illustrate their own book?  We can work on that as well. After a demo, students will work individually on their own projects plus work on guided mastery from life.

$65 per month plus tax = $69.55 for four weekly classes throughout the school year, which comes to $16.25 per class, and includes all supplies except colored pencils and a multi-media sketchbook, which student will be encouraged to work with at home as well.

First class begins Thursday August 17, 2017, at 5:00pm.  (August will be prorated as half of a month.)  All of the rest of the months will be full months and participation/commitment is expected throughout the school year.  Make-up classes will be available if your child misses a week.  Payment for the month is due upon the first class period of the month. I look forward to sharing my passion for art with you and your child!
