Visual Art for Rising Artists (2nd-6th grade)

This course meets weekly after school on Fridays for 1.0 hours from 4:30pm-5:30pm for 3rd-5th graders, where students will watch Ms. Miller demonstrate a technique or a project and then be encouraged to work at their own pace. Students will explore various media in both 2D and 3D including drawing & painting in various media including graphite, charcoal, pastel, oil pastel, watercolor, acrylics, and also sampling 3D sculpture, pottery making using clay and fired in the kiln. We will explore, and experience projects designed to take their art to a whole new level.  We will cover the elements of art and principles of design, learning to use great composition skills.  Includes all materials.  Classes begin the last two weeks of August 2018 (half month/2 classes-prorated) through the first two weeks of May 2019 (half month/2classes-prorated.)

Cost: $65 plus tax total per month (includes four classes per month,) payable at the first class of the month with an expected commitment throughout the school year.  We will begin on Friday, August 23, 2018 (the last two weeks of August which will be prorated) through the first two weeks of May 2019,with the last class commencing on May 9, 2019.  If a class is missed, make-up classes will be offered (the week of December 10 for fall semester and the week of May 16 for spring semester.) Note: half months are also offered only for at the months of August, December and May at  $32.50 plus tax.)  If you need to miss a month, please advise a month in advance.  It is important to do so for budgeting and accounting purposes to expect payment for the school year.  Thank you so much!  I look forward to sharing my passion for art with you and your family!
