A custom pet portrait is a memory that will last forever! Here are some samples of the pet portraits Laura Bird Miller has done in the past and would love to help you preserve the memory of your precious pal. Whether it’s puppy-hood, which passes so quickly, or a happy memory of times spent together, for example your ‘dog days’ at the beach, a holiday, a cute pose, whatever moment you find precious and wish to preserve, there is nothing like an artist’s rendering of your furry family member. Laura captures the essence and heart of your pet with her pencil, pastel or brush. If you have a preference of a painting on canvas or a rendering (a drawing in colored pencil or pastel) please let her know. If you do not specify, she will do what medium she feels is best to represent your pet based on the photo you send. Paintings are a little more expensive ($30 more) because of the materials cost more and it takes a bit more time because each layer has to dry before she moves on.
All Laura needs is a photograph or two, your deposit of $75, and she will work her magic.

COST (for all PASTEL AND COLORED PENCIL): $195 plus tax for all colored pencil and pastel renderings (a fancy word for drawings)- This is for all sizes (generally she does 8×10 which comes matted to 11 x 14 size) except over-size/larger portraits 16 x 20 or larger) – includes mat for colored pencil (pastel is usually on board and will not need a mat) and includes FREE shipping!
COST (for all OIL OR ACRYLIC ON CANVAS): $225 for all sizes except over-sized/larger portraits (16 x 20 or larger)
Why are oil and acrylic portraits more? The materials for the oils and acrylics are more expensive. It takes a little longer for Laura to do because each layer has to dry before the next layer can be added. Can’t decide between a painting or a rendering? Ask Laura which would be best for your photo/pet!

YOUR PET PORTRAIT HERE
Please allow 4-6 weeks turnaround. Laura teaches art and science full time at Circle Christian School during the day and LOVES to paint evenings and weekends. She also loves to create the perfect portrait for you, which takes time. If it’s an oil painting, it’s also important to allow the oils to dry in between layers. Colored pencil and pastels may be done sooner. Be sure keep this in mind to order for holidays and special events, graduations, birthdays, Christmas, etc.!
