Wow! A landmark adventure has begun today! Our very first online painting event took place! It was a premier of coming attractions! CoVid-19 has brought us all many challenges and yet it has also brought many blessings. It is wrought with challenges and yet ripe with opportunities for growth.

Many of us are struggling with challenges we never dreamed of, and some of us are enjoying our time of slowed-down life! Some of us are caring for our loved ones, dealing with financial woes, or perhaps feeling isolated while trying to stay safe with social distancing. Yet, others are finding more time with family, eating home-cooked meals around the table, finding time for reflection and prayer, and even time to clean out those pesky cabinets or garage! Some might even be able to start a new hobby!

Could that hobby be painting? (Did I say that out loud?)

So… how it all began… I providentially happen to be teaching an online painting class for Circle Christian School this school year where I had camera, mic, and all the equipment necessary for online teaching. My friend Jennifer, (who loves to plan events and jumps in with both feet into projects) with Forest Lake Church Family Ministries, asked if I would serve the church families by offering an online painting event during this time!

Naturally, I said YES!

Check out their paintings below! The smiles and the results speak for themselves!

Due to the overwhelming positive response (they were able to see more clearly than even when it is an in-person event, they could hear well, they could pause to ask questions easily, they could paint in the comfort of their own home and yet still have fun with their friends, they could continue to paint even after the session ended to tweak their paintings so they didn’t feel rushed… well, the list goes on and on!) I will be offering more online classes not only during Covid-19 stay-at-home period, but throughout the rest of the year!

New calendar will be posted on May 1, 2020, so check it out! Stay tuned, more online painting events coming SOON! Woo hoo!

What fun and what a great job they did on their paintings!
Setting up for Success!
