Lets’ have an ART party!!  Now offering Coffee and Canvas “To-Go” parties!  Our place or yours, same great projects and instruction.

 

A.  ADULT GROUPS:

COST:

  • 2-4 adults $32.50 each
  • 5 to 9 adults (minimum 5) $29.99 each, plus tax.
  • 10 adults or more $24.99 each plus tax.
  • One person’s class fee as a deposit is required to secure your reservation.  Deposits are transferable but nonrefundable.

 

STEP 1:  choose a date and time that works for you.  Email laurabirdmiller@gmail.com, text 407-416-2594, or call 407-682-1128 to see if your date/time is available.

STEP 2:  Decide if you want pottery or painting, which are the same price.

  • painting on canvas – tell us what “theme” you would like, if you have one, or what style of painting, colors, textures, etc. Feel free to stop by the studio to choose a painting from our gallery or give us your ideas and we will be happy to design one for you FREE of charge, just for your group! (Example:  David Weekly Homes team each painted a portrait of David Weekly to be hung like Andy Warhol’s pop art paintings of Marilyn Monroe, and we designed/drew the initial portrait, which was pre-sketched onto each canvas.)

If you have a large group, you may wish to choose two paintings you like so you can give your peeps two options to pick from; it’s fun to vote!  If you’re the artsy type of group, you can each do your own thing and not have a step-by-step teaching.  We’ve actually had groups that come in and have contests based on a theme where everyone does their own painting and instead of step-by-step instruction, we give a Coffee and Canvas T-shirt away as a prize for the “best” painting, voted upon by the group.  But don’t let that intimidate you; we do step-by-step for most groups!

  • pottery – we offer 1) hand building from wet clay from scratch (where you will build your own creative piece with an instructor,) 2) pre-formed wet clay (choose from mugs thrown fresh off the wheel, platters, bowls, jewelry boxes, etc, that are “wet” so you can paint/underglaze, embellish or carve into), or 3) bisque-fired pieces to paint, which are hardened and great FUN to paint but cannot be altered structurally.
  • combination of pottery and canvas painting – You may have a combination group of pottery painting and canvas painting if everyone does their own thing and you choose not to do step-by-step instruction.  We offer a free Coffee and Canvas T-shirt for the group leader to give away or keep in lieu of the step-by-step instruction.  We are still there to help with any technical questions as art instructors.  We handle all the set up and clean up, provide materials, and offer a beautiful coffee-shop atmosphere for your party or gathering!

STEP 3:  Invite your guests – Once we have settled on a date, time, an art project (painting or pottery), it’s time to invite your guests or your team.  If this is a team event, you will be asked to pay a deposit of $25 and pay the difference after your event for your team as a whole.  If this is a private party or everyone is paying individually, you will also pay a deposit $25 deposit. We are happy to provide you with a link for you to share with your guests to register and pay online. This avoids the gap between 9 and 10 people showing up, which affects your total party package.  However, you are more than welcome to pay after your party as individuals or as a group if you feel more comfortable, have an above and beyond RSVP response, or know your peeps will all show!  If you also post on FaceBook/Instagram,, call your guests, you’ll have a great turnout and a super fun event!  We LOVE parties!

STEP 4:  Come on in!  If you are bringing food/drinks, feel free to come in 15-20 minutes early to set up.  Then, relax and enjoy time creating with your family and friends!  Leave the instruction, flow, and clean up to us!  We provide all the materials plus coffee, tea, water and a snack basket or baked goodies, but you may also bring your own food and drinks.


B. CHILDREN’S PARTIES: Times available:  Sundays 1:30pm-3:30pm, 4:00-6:00pm, 6:30pm-8:30pm, Saturdays 10:00am-12:00pm, 1:00pm-3:00pm

Option A – Large parties:  $199 for 10 children.  Each additional $15.  Have fun and leave the clean up to us! Deposit $25 (may be applied to face painting option.)  Deposits are transferable but nonrefundable.

Here is what you can expect:

  • a theme-based painting or pottery designed especially for you and your guests! Stop by the studio to pick from our gallery or email us with your ideas.  There is no extra charge for us to make a sample designed specifically for your child!
  • painting sizes: 11 x 14, 12 x 12 or 16 x 20 stretched, gallery-wrapped canvas.  Sides may be painted and paintings hung without a frame.
  • pottery may be created step by step or pre-made for your convenience. It may be painted wet or dry.  Wet clay may be altered with textures, shapes and color to make it uniquely yours.  Dry clay may be painted but not textured.  Included but not limited to:  medium-sized mug with handle, animal, animal mug, themed mug, vase, small tea pot, jewelry box with lid, themed jar with lid, etc.
  • step-by-step instruction in either painting or pottery and use of one of our studios for 1.5 to 2 hours (depending on the age of the student and if you choose face painting or not.)  For younger students ages 5-7, one hour of painting or pottery is typical.  For ages 8 up, 1 to 1.5 hours of painting or pottery is normal.  This allows 1/2 to 1 hour for cupcakes/gift opening for a total of up to 1.5 to 2 hours of studio time.  Note, if face painting is added, please allow the full 2 hours.  Older students generally take the full 2 hours, depending on the speed of the painters/potters.
  • assistance with party planning and flow.  We are here to help you, so please don’t hesitate to call, text, or email with your concerns, plans, and ideas!  Generally, you’ll set up any food or drinks you bring in 1/2 hour before your party.  As you greet your guests up front, we’ll be finalizing in the back, pouring paints or clay last minute so they don’t get dried out.  If you want to do the food first, that’s fine, or if you want to do the painting/pottery first that’s fine too.  Most folks do the painting/pottery first and then eat, but if you have guests who are running late, it might be best to do the food first!
  • canvases/pottery piece for each guest that they get to take home as a lovely party favor/memory of your party.  Painting may be taken immediately, but pottery will need to be picked up about 2 weeks to allow for firing. Generally you’ll pickup the whole batch of pottery and give to your guests at school etc.  It’s like giving another gift to your friends when you give them their finished pieces, they’ll be so excited to see their fired creations!
  •  Face painting available for only $25 additional.  We match your theme, paint fairly quickly and the children love it!

Option B – Small parties:  $149 for up to 6 children.  Each additional $17 (up to 10, beyond 10 choose option A.)  Deposit $25 (may be applied to face painting option.)  Deposits are transferable but nonrefundable.
